Written a while ago, for that "Bedbug" album. Near the end of our relationship I wrote this love / praise song, and I thought re-recording and including it on this release would provide a nice juxtaposition in relation to the other songs. The name "Snaggy" comes from Snaggy Mountain, a hippy commune / artist retreat thing in North Carolina. We spent a few days there over the 2017 spring break.
lyrics
My baby girl shined
Brighter than yours,
My baby girl shined
Brighter than yours,
She would get you religious
by the bottom of the night,
She acts like water
When your tounge is dry,
And you get so lost
In her emerald eyes,
My baby girl shined
Brighter than yours,
My baby girl shined
Brighter than yours,
She would get you drunk
At the top of a mountain,
She can do the math,
While you're still finger countin'
She'll bring your ass to some
Hippy commune,
but she'll never wake you up
Before it is noon
My baby girl shined
Brighter than yours,
My baby girl shined
Brighter than yours,
My baby girl
Used to smell like patchouli,
But that was back before she went and fooled me
My baby girl
Is out pickin’ cherries
With a mother fucker
that needs a hair piece,
My baby girl
Aint my baby girl no more
