about

I wanted to say goodbye with this song, to her, the listener, whomever. I was on the beach over the summer when this song came to me, hit me like a train, wrote it on the spot and knew that it had to close the album.

lyrics

Let me know
when you make it home,
I'll stay up all night,
I'll be by the telephone.
Let me know when you're safe,
Cause I hope we've got
Some plans to make -
I haven’t seen you since last summer
but I think about you everyday
I heard that you moved to the West coast,
but who knows, thats just what people say.

You were my island,
You were my small
And perfect place.
My friends say I need to stay awake, because my dreams,
because I've got some
dreams to chase,
But I think that I chase my dreams
Better when I'm sleeping -

You are July,
You were the fire in my sky,
I went to the beach, to watch your mixtapes sink,
and I was blinded by your absence;
and I thought:
When I die,
Bury me by the water -
When I come back to life,
I’ll be something better.
