about

The first new song written for this album. (Boyhood, Appalachians and Snaggy are older songs re-recorded) I needed to force myself to stay positive. So I made this. The thoughts were something like this: "Hey Morgan, make the verses about moving on and getting better and building that cabin in the mountains and reading a bunch of books in it, but wait, make the refrain about how none of these plans matter because there is still maybe something left to know about an irrelevant and heart-breaking situation."

lyrics

Spread your toes in the sand
you've still got a few places to go
Build your home in the sky
you've still got a few books to read
Baby, I know you you've got some things left to tell me

Unzip the sky, bathe in stars
I promise you there is some light in that darkness
Photographs won't make her last
so put them up and get them all dusty
Don't be a dream lined in lover's ears
try to be yourself and drink up that whiskey
Baby, I know you you've got some things left to tell me
