about

Written about the days leading up to our big ending. The last time I saw her, she was crying in her parent's garage. The idea, Variety Peaches, it's this: She lived on one of the many Georgian Peach streets, I wanted this album title to indicate that there is a variety of paths to take, or people to fall in love with, there is always more Peach streets. Stupid, I know.

lyrics

We drank her parents wine
On their guest bedroom bathroom floor
We ashed our cigarettes
Into the toilet
Until we had to go out for more
She had me in a
midnight day dream,
when I’d pick her up on peach street -
well, Georgia's got a lot of these

Its raining in Georgia
Can you count the pills on
my baby girl’s tongue?
Its raining in Florida,
all these drugs, does this shit still make you feel young?

Coffee, sex, cigarettes, ,
ritalin and 2 Advil-
you've got empty space to fill

I didn’t take you home then,
when you looked like a collage
crying in your parent’s garage

but at least we still share the moon
It will hold us together like glue,
if even we didn’t want it to
